Do you know what market you intend to sell an affiliate marketing product to?
You might have a website that is about a specific topic, or a blog with specific themes, or you blog about a variety of topics. What is important is, the affiliate marketing products that you intend to sell should be related to the content on the page.
If you have a website that talks about dog training, then it follows that you can pitch affiliate marketing products that are about or related to dog training. If you blog about a variety of topics and one topic is about diabetes and another is about gardening, the affiliate marketing products you pitch in the content should be specific to the topic. You know your readers are already interested in what you have to say in the content, so it follows that you pitch a product that they could be interested in and related to what they are reading. If you have a post about weight loss, your readers are obviously interested to know more about weight loss, then you should present a product that is about weight loss and not about scooters.
So how do you find a product?
The simplest way is to just join affiliate marketing programs, and we will get into that in depth later. But one way, is to a search on Google for products related to your topic, then check if they offer an affiliate program. For example, your blog post is about weight loss, you provide maybe tips on how to loss weight. It is obvious that your readers are searching for information about losing weight. Do a search on Google for “weight loss” “affiliate program”. This will turn out potential weight loss products or guides that offer an affiliate program. What you do next is check out the products, sign up for their affiliate program and start displaying a link on your page to that product’s sales page.
If you don’t see a link for an affiliate program on the site you are interested in promoting, use the contact email that is usually provided to inquire about the possibility of an affiliate program, or an affiliate arrangement with the company.
Another way is to simply join affiliate marketing programs online, that have a variety of products that you can simply browse through and choose.
