Do you want to make money selling good or services? First of all you need customers… happy customers that is. A happy customer will want to do business with you again and may tell other people about your products or services, who in turn also become happy customers. So it is important to keep your customers. But, how do you keep customers?
Here are three simple tips that you can easily put to use, to help you keep customers.
First, treat all of your customers well all of the time. This is an absolute rule, with no exceptions. There may be times when you don’t feel like being nice. Some people can be really mean and terrible to deal with; some demand too much of you and others even accuse you of trying to cheat them. Some people just don’t seem to understand what you try to tell them. Despite this, always try to satisfy a customer, however if it gets to a point where you simply can’tcontinue helping someone, let it go, move on. Just be courteous and respectful no matter what the customer says to you.
Second, over-deliver and exceed expectations. Customer problems drop dramatically when you over-deliver to your customers. For example, you promise your customers a bonus if they buy a specific
product, while they may be just expecting one, go ahead and give them three. This is great way of building customer loyalty.
Third, follow-up your customers. This is a great way to retain customers, and many people don’t do it. All
it takes is a quick email and nothing more. A few days after someone makes a purchase, send them a quick email thanking them for the sale, and then askthem if everything is alright and to their satisfaction, or if they need any help. This makes them feel taken care of, and you give off the impression that you are there for them.
So those are the three simply tips to keeping customers; be nice to your customers always; over-deliver with all your products, and always follow-up on your sales.
If you find it difficult writing emails and manually following up each and every one of your customers, you can use an affordable autoresponder service. The service I use and recommend is Aweber.
