Since Wednesday last week I have been locked up in my room and 24 hours a day plastered across my computer monitor. I swear its a good thing these Samsung Flat Screens are low radiation otherwise I’d probably be blind by now.
Some friends of mine went on a long 5 day foray in an otherwise tranquil and peaceful Inopacan, Leyte.. I just saw the pcitures plastered annoyingly on all of their Multiple accounts. But that is fine, I mean “annoying” in jest, I hope to join them in the next trip, whenever it may be.
The thing is I could not get away; while Filipinos where headed off to their province or going to get some R&R, my US clients were working, business as usual so I had to stay.
What I do? Well, I’m one of the guys that do a little bit of this and a little bit of that to deliver traffic to your website. .. without traffic, no purpose for a website to exist. How? well, its a little difficult to explain.
Would you want to know how? Oh, you must have a website then, but are not getting any visitors and customers.. What? You rely only on your contacts on the social networking sites you joined? Sidebar… a social networking site is a Web 2.0 (user generated content) site that allows users to create profiles and network with other people.. much like medium we are on. Friendster is another example, MySpace, and so on.
As I was saying, if you only rely on visitors like your mom, bro, sis, some relatives and the people on your network then I tell you this, it is not enough. Now I may not have been doing this online for very long, but I sure have been doing this in the real world for over 15 years and if there is one certain thing about a business and customers, you constantly lose them, and a business losses more customers than it acquires, it goes bust! You lose them to a myriad of reasons; they could have been taken by the competiton, they moved away, they got disappointed in your product, they upgraded to a better service or solution. There are so many reasons. That’s why every business strives to (a) constantly get more customers and (b) work to retain existing customers and develop a long term relationship, build customer loyalty and make money on the back end.
Many do not realize that as much as to 80% of sales generated from a customer takes place after the first or preliminary sales, in the form of back end sales or purchases. You want to know how much a customer is worth to you, do your math and find the average worth of a customer to you. So when you lose a customer, you know how much opportunity loss that is. You now just got to go out and look for more new customers.
The problem is, its more difficult and more expensive to get new business, than it is to try to sell another product to an existing satisfied customer. Give that some thought.
In closing, I’d like to know, if you like to think you have an online business, ask yourself “do you need visitors on your site, or do you WANT visitors. Do you need traffic, or do WANT traffic. Do you need SALES OR DO YOU WANT SALES?
I got into marketing online through blogging.. started blogging almost three years ago… early this year I wrote a manual teaching people how to blog, packed with a lot of precious information, the same information and strategies that I make hundreds of dollars from and that get sold on ebooks that cost for top dollars. But since I really do want to teach people how market their business through blogging (among the many other things), and since this thing has a lot of great ideas to show you how to drive traffic and potential customers to your site.. I am giving it out as a gift. So claim it now, before I wake up from this delirium caused by not being able to eat anything all day. I am starving!
You can download this EBook for FREE at two places, but I’ll give you the URL to a new site I just recently put up for US customers interested in affiliate marketing. You can download that guide on this page…just click the link. You will be brought to a page where you can download it in pdf format. Affiliate Elite . Again I assure you it is free, but I should actually be charging for it I know, I know. So what are you waiting for, get it now.
Feel free to browse that site as well if it catches your fancy.
So, one more question… do you have BUSINESS, or do you simply have a HOBBY?
